I have always been fascinated by the power of the human mind, and after my first course in Positive Psychology, I knew that counseling was my calling. I come from a background in school social work, where I have helped hundreds of general and special education students, from Kindergarten through 12th grade, overcome various mental health issues. I have since pursued private practice so that I can dedicate my time to helping people of all ages. I am passionate about helping others uncover and better utilize their innate individual strengths. I tailor my therapeutic approach to an individual’s needs, usually with a focus on faith-based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My areas of interest include: adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders, Christian counseling, depression, self-esteem issues, and women’s issues.
In my free time I enjoy Christian yoga, reading, and traveling to new places (when possible). I live in Canton, MI with my husband of five years and my two feline furbabies.
